Update—August 15, 2022

The month of July was a busy one for ”Just Kids”!  During the 12 days we were open, 92 customers purchased clothing and shoes for over 200 kids. All of this was done by 28 volunteers, who picked up donations, sorted clothing and operated the shop. Additionally, racks were built for winter coast by two other church members.  We also have one volunteer who is taking clothing (we don’t want/or cannot use) to the Cumberland Clothing Closet on a weekly basis.

We are in the process of introducing” Just Kids” to the 200 families of Powhatan who are enrolled in the WIC program (Women, Infant and Children). This is a federal program to assist at risk women, infants, and children up to the age of 5 who are low income, and nutritionally at risk.
